These awesome braids are an original product, designed by me, these were originally designed as climbing ropes for Rats (which they work perfectly as!), but can also be used for Mice, and I have used them with success for various bird species as perches!
The ropes are about 3-5cm in diameter and have a natural 'twist' to them which makes it easy for rats to get a stable foothold and for birds to exercise their perching muscles. Made from soft anti-pill fleece these ropes have a 'natural sway' for birds (just as if they were landing on a real tree branch, it will sink a little with their weight) and also means that if rats give them a nibble (still hasn't happened yet!) the fleece won't cause them any harm.
Available in standard long (approx. 120cm) or short (approx. 60cm) lengths or can be custom made to your specifications, they do have a bit of stretch to them.
Each rope comes with 3 (for the small size) or 4 hooks (for the large size), more can be purchased separately.
