100% NZ made from bio-degradable, untreated, compressed pine this litter provides excellent odour control, easily absorbing any ammonia (urine smell) and replacing with a fresh natural scent.
These pellets work by breaking down when wet to provide effective absorption of urine. Simply change litter weekly as necessary to keep your pet’s hutch/cage/litter box fresh and clean. When wet this product breaks down to a chunky soft sawdust so if your pet does take a nibble it will pass right through without causing any issues (unlike clay, silica, or paper litter) as it will not swell in the gut so will not cause issues such as dehydration, bowel blockages, etc., it does not stick to fur (from my experience) and is much less messy than shavings making it much easier to tidy up.
I have also found this litter to be much cheaper than other types and brands of litter as you use much less, a couple of handfuls can last a a couple of small pets for at least a week! It is also super easy to dispose of, you can flush used litter down the loo or add to the garden/compost pile.
